safer space

How can we make our work trauma conscious?

How can we help people feel safe?

How can we be in supportive relationship with folks in our spaces?

Bringing trauma consciousness into our work isn’t about learning a perfect script to follow, or proclaiming yourself a ‘safe space’. Cultivating safety with clients is a practice of relationship, and knowing how to hold your own system steady.

That’s what we’ll be covering in this workshop for space holders.

This workshop is for anyone who works with people’s bodies - tattoo artists, hairdressers, movement teachers, massage therapists, healers - and wants to create a safer space for their clients.

Your hosts – Elle Bower Johnston and Sara Duigou – are somatics practitioners with years of training and experience in trauma conscious practice. They bring a down-to-earth, practical approach and believe that even small adjustments can help folks feel safer in your space.
